What is Eurythmy?
“Eurythmy is a kind of silent speech.”
Rudolf Steiner – January 17, 1920
Eurythmy is the interplay of light, darkness, and of the active human being, who is forever striving to create and recreate a balance.
Poetry and art music ‘speak sing’ through silent movements, rounding or raying out in weight and light, minor and major, weaving to create in space and time, body, soul, and spirit. Eurythmy symphonies have toured North America, Europe, Russia, and Asia.
Eurythmy worldwide celebrated its 100th birthday in January, 2012. Chaparral Eurythmy, then five years old, joined colleagues for the celebration.
